The Main Clearing

Shadestep padded into the main clearing, the herons she'd caught in her mouth. She dropped them into the freshkill pile and went to tell Rockstar about their sucess.

Hawknight follwed close behind Shadestep as they entered the camp.

"Rockstar!" she called. Shadestep hoped her brother was proud of her.

Rockstar made his way out of his den. His massive body then hit by the rays of the sun. "Ahh, your back. How was it?" Rockstar mewed.

"Great! I caught five and so did Hawknight and Honeymoon." she reported.

"Great StarClan. That is great. Well done all of you." Rockstar praised his warriors.

Shadestep puffed out her chest proudly.

Rockstar noticed the act his sister had done and he let out a purr of amusement before speaking, "You all deserve a rest and some food. You are all welcome to it."

"You guys can eat first. Good work!" Shadestep mewed to Hawknight and Honeymoon.

Hawknight nodded his thanks and grabbed a heron from the pile. Finally this bird will get what it had comming, Hawknight thought to himself.

Shadestep looked up at her brother. "You're a good leader...I can't wait to see who you pick as your deputy." she mewed, thinking that it'd be Honeymoon.

"That reminds me..... On this moon, I, Rockstar, leader of MountainClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to hear and approve my choice of deputy. The new deputy of MountainClan will be.... Shadestep. Shadestep, you have proven you are the right choice many times over and I know you will do well."

I know those arent the correct words but. ~~~

"Wha-what? Thank you Rockstar! It's such a surprise!" she mewed, licking her brother's shoulder with undying respect. "I will try my best to be the best deputy you could ask for." she mewed confidently.

Rockstar purred as Shadestep licked his shoulder and then he rested his massive muzzle onto his sister's, "I know you will do well, Shadestep. I do not regret my choice." Rockstar mewed to Shadestep.

"Thank you so much. It's an incredible honor to be your deputy, Rockstar." Shadestep bowed her head respectfully.

"I wouldnt change it." Rockstar simply replied.

Shadestep purred, her brother was so confident.

Hawknight then sprinted but to Shadestep and deeply purred, "Congradulations!""

"Thanks!" Shadestep purred and breifly brushed her cheek against his.

Hawknight felt his fur begin to feel hot and nice. He stared at Shadestep and smiled.

She smiled back, maybe, just maybe she was falling for Hawknight...she blushed at the thought.

Hawknight renched himself from her gaze and thought that he shouldnt be mooning over her so openly.
